i always used a regular felpro gasket set, but ditch the cork front and rear seals for the lower intake. Instead pick up a tube of ta-31 motorcraft and put a thick layer down in the front and back of the lower intake (specially the corners between the block and heads!) and around the ports on the heads.

Rich Thats a good set but definitely ditch the cork intake gaskets! However, I like these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-10112/?rtype=10 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-17360/?rtype=10 I like these because it already has the silicone on them and it doesnt make a mess and they are wicked easy to install. Just my 0.02

Well guys I got all the parts needed for build but before Lou and I put our hands in there I'm going to send out these heads to get pressure tested and get the valves and springs looked at . I don't want any surprises after these heads are on and find out theres a problem! I bought these off a guy on the corral and they look super clean but he had no paper work with them and I only got what he told me and I was on the corral looking at his feedbacks and this guys is starting to get negatives which is putting up red flags for me... I'm getting ready to go on vacation but when I get back I need to send these heads out somewhere local to make sure there're good !

I called Whitehall Auto they want $50 a piece to pressure test the heads... A couple of my friends are trying to talk me into putting a different cam in the car while it's all apart?I know I said to Lou I wanted to keep the stock one in so not sure what to do if i should or not?

It's going to add quite a bit of time/money to the build.
You've already said that you're not looking to go crazy with it....leave the stocker in there

I'd keep the stock cam too, considering what you use the car for..cruising around town at low speed/rpm usually isn't much fun with the bucking and chugging you'll likely experience with alot of aftermarket cams

Joe is on target here.
There's more as well....somewhere you have to draw a line or you'll get sucked in. "Well while your doing heads and intake, why not a cam?" Ok, well if you're looking for more power, why not do better heads? Then if you're doing all that, why not do long tubes? Well...hell, if we're doing all that, why not do a stroker bottom end to go along with all the above parts. Then a custom tune to get the most out of it. then.... then.... and then..... See where I'm going with this?
