Torque Specifications

Any one got a list for a 5.0? I need everything, I'm putting a motor together. Also, need the specs on trick flow heads and intake.

the numbers are a little more important than "around". I assume you are using ARP bolts? Arp will give you 2 measurements. 1 with moly and 1 with oil. Remember a little treadlocker on the cam bolt and oil pump bolts. If you are using factory grade stuff follow one of the above articles. I have never torqued an intake either. You can go around the sequence until you strip or break the bolts before you can get them all to torque. Anti-seize or thread sealant for the one that go into fluid (if they do).

here is instruction sheet for a trick flow r-series intake. Cylinder Head Bolt: 5.OL (302 CID) (1) -
Note: (1) Torque in 2 steps: First step 75-88 Nm (55-65 ft-lb) Second step 88-97 Nm (65-72 ft-lb) (ARP go to 85-90 ft-lbs dipped in moly lube or 10w30 motor oil following the sequence above)
Intake Manifold to Cylinder Head Bolt (3) 5.OL/5.8L (302 CID/351 CID) 15/31-34 Nm
Note: (3) After assembly, retorque with engine hot.
its a good idea to blow out all cylinder head bolt holes so your bolts or stud will not hydro lock. also i would reccomend tapping or chasing the threds to insure a good bite. here is something a little more specific

Thanks ....Wayne
