stock oil dipstick tube fitment

Isn't the dipstick tube supposed to fit snugly in the block? I just waited for a back ordered stock tube and it drops in way to easy,anybody run into this?

I think they're tapered. Go in easy & then fit snug when all the way in

It should definitely require some effort to get that tube in the hole. I had just the opposite problem where the tube was too big for the hole.

stock oil dipstick tube fitment

Mine is tight. When we changed to the chrome handle we lost the dowel pin in it & had to get another, but it is def tight fitting.

That's what I thought, this stinks. Have no idea what i'm gonna do now, this thing is becoming a huge pain in the butt. Thanks everyone .
