Exclamation Powder Coat my CSR Electric Pump?

Want to Powder Coat my CSR Electric Water Pump. I have dissasembled it, but he electric motor is still attached to the mounting plate. Will it get damaged when they bake it in the oven? Will some Aluminum Foil wrapped arround it work or something similair? Worst case oi oder a new motor. Thanks!

think about it, electric motor, electric, wires, 450 degrees, plastic wire coatings??????, you are most likely going to melt the coatings off and then it is worthless because them you are going to turn it on and the wires might touch and oooops, there went your water pump, all the powder coating and money

Called CSR today. Was told I can remove the impeller frome the motor by unthreading the impeller counter-clock-wise. Ordered their o-ring kit.

There is a shop near my place that's called (Classic Auto/Power Coating" here in Gaithersburg,MD. I originally had some young kid,but that didn't work out. He did my timing cover Gloss BlacK that was great. Then went to do my Super Victor intake. Man . what a Mess! Seems that he couldn't remove the old Gun Metal from when I purchased it. I told him that all I wanted was a Satin Clear on it. Something to look like a New in Box Color Natural Aluminum ,but with a Powder Coat. What he bought back was a Rough Tectured Grey of some sort. So, I told him to return my parts ASAP! I am also trying to decide if a Motor Plate is Needed or Not?

depends on his work load. 4 days or 14 days, first come first serve. A fuel pump wont cost more then 10 bucks Id say. He does mustang shock brackets for me at 5 bucks a piece. He is a one man operation from his shop, depending on your color he could probably fit it in with other stuff as he does have popular colors. He is also getting into hydrodipping parts once the tank is made. here is his website:
