catted bbk x-pipe

Hello everyone, I own a 00 gt stang , C&L intake throttle and k&n air filter, calibrated. Stock headers and hpipe exhaust with 4 cats, but i do have dynomax mufflers,. I bought a bbk catted xpipe with 2 high flow cats. Because of emissions testing, I opted for the catted, however after installing will my stang be louder and or will it lose any power.
Also, do I need to leave the front stock cats or remove them also and have only the 2 high flow,
Please someone advise me.
I bought the chatted bbk x because I read it would make the car a bit louder and would help it breathe better
The installer wants to leave the stock front cats and attach a 2.5" pipe to the bbk so as to run all 2.5 thru the mid pipe to the mufflers.
He says this way I'm still emission correct. Help

Technically you have to leave all 4 to be legal & cannot change unless defective. But this isn't california so who cares.

You'll either need MIL eliminators to prevent CEL or tune out the 2 pre-cats.

Not putting on high-flow as is, will kind of be a waste of time. You really only get better sound & a handful of horses as it is

Thank you for your response, so installing the catted x will not change or increase the sound nor add any horsepower , . what a waste of purchase.,
For sale catted bbk xpipe, lol

You misunderstood, yes it will make the sound louder/better without a doubt. I was just saying that you might see 5hp as is, but if you modify to keep stock pre-cats then the sound will not be as loud nor the gains as much

You will notice a nice difference, if you didn't no one would buy nor waste time

Well I had my bbk high flow chatted xpipe installed and seriously I'm not very pleased, gone Is the rumble I enjoyed when down shifting with the stock hpipe , . but after spending nearly 500 for all, what can I do. I currently have dynomax mufflers, but I need my car louder and more aggressive with this chatted x, anyone have any suggestions.
BTW Midas did the work/ good job and no check engine light trigger. Help with advise, I now have mid range sound, not to much bass, but I also noticed gains in speed in all gears.
