WOW! In the course of 30 minutes the Flyers traded Jeff Carter AND Mike Richards. They got good return in both trades and freed up 10 mil in cap space.

Little shocked that they traded both guys. It was obvious that one of them had to go so they could sign Bryzgalov.

Personally I thought that it was Richards that would go because in addtion to his lack of second half on ice performance, he was a horrible captain. He had no leadership or respect in the room. Sometimes it is easier to trade a guy than take the C away from him.

Carter is a great goal scorer but he is a one-way player and gets hurt alot. That is why he went

I hate to see them both go but I think that it is best for the team in the long run.

Pronger will make a great captain. He was the de facto captain this year anyway.

As long as he stays healthy, with Bryzgalov, we are in for a heck of a run.
